The I love NY logo was designed by Milton Glaser in 1977 to promote tourism in NY state.The endless knock offs show how successful this campaign was and still is because of its simplicity, I always thought that the I LOVE NY t-shirts were cheesy but once you go to NY, that icon takes a whole new perspective and you cannot help not buying one of those to your friends because that city is just LOVEly!
